Portfolio Cockpit — Your Operational Control Center

DigitalCore doesn't rely on scattered modules—it brings everything together into a single, unified interface: the Portfolio Cockpit. This cockpit is your command center for tracking, reviewing, and managing the strategic and tactical health of your services.

🧭 Where It All Happens: The “Solutions” Tab

Inside the Portfolio Cockpit, the Solutions tab is where operational work happens.

  • You'll see a list of your solutions within the selected Portfolio.

  • For each solution, DigitalCore presents real-time KPI visuals across four key areas:

    • ✅ Performance

    • ✅ Compliance

    • ✅ Financial (P&L)

    • ✅ Capacity

These visuals are automatically updated as data is fed into the system—either via manual check-ins or bulk CSV uploads.

📊 What Are You Seeing?

The default view shows a current-year dashboard with monthly KPI progression for each category. Each card (e.g., Compliance, Financial) is interactive:

  • Click to drill down into the selected KPI category.

  • You’ll enter the Check-In interface, where you can:

    • Create a new yearly plan (if one doesn’t exist yet)

    • Pull in all configured Solution Components

    • Enter or edit month-by-month data

    • View historical values for comparison

🔄 All updates made in the Check-In view immediately refresh your cockpit visuals—no extra steps needed.

🔧 Managing Components: The Building Blocks

KPI logic is controlled through the Components section, separate from the cockpit.

  • Performance & Compliance: Define metrics, thresholds, and scoring logic

  • Commercial Terms (P&L): Set up revenue and cost structures

  • Balanced Scorecards: Choose from a library of templates and customize weightings

💡 Components are shared across solutions—once defined, they can be reused for consistency and maturity scaling.

🧠 Strategic Planning with Roadmaps & OKRs

Strategic planning is driven by Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

  • Each Objective can be linked to one or more Key Results

  • Key Results are then connected to Roadmap Items, which:

    • Can be tied to Solutions, Portfolios, or Governance Cases

    • Track initiative progress and timeline

    • Bridge the tactical layer (execution) with strategic intent

🧭 This structure creates traceability from outcomes all the way up to long-term strategy.

🗂️ Governance Cases: Structured Oversight

Governance is handled in its own dedicated section of the platform.

In the Governance Cases area, you can:

  • Create and assign cases to people or services

  • Link cases to Roadmap Items, Projects, or Portfolios

  • Track review decisions and document actions

  • Comment and collaborate across teams

Cases are part of a broader project lifecycle, integrated with DigitalCore’s project and portfolio tracking tables (as covered in our earlier discussions).

🚀 Data Input Options

You can feed data into the cockpit in two ways:

  1. Manual Check-Ins via the UI (in the Solution tab → drill-down)

  2. Bulk Uploads through the Operations tab, using generated templates based on linked components

Both methods refresh the cockpit dashboard in real time for current-year visibility.
