DigitalCore User Roles & Permissions
👥 Understanding User Roles
In DigitalCore, access is managed through clearly defined user roles to ensure secure, structured collaboration across your organization. Each role comes with specific permissions that reflect their responsibilities within the service governance model.
🔐 Available Roles
1️⃣ Admin
The Admin has full access across the entire platform, including:
-
Managing all tenants and users
-
Viewing and editing all organizational data
-
Setting up integrations and configurations
-
Accessing analytics, scorecards, and roadmap features
🎛️ Admins are typically assigned at the system-wide or early-stage implementation level.
2️⃣ Org Manager
Org Managers are responsible for their organization’s configuration and governance. They can:
-
Invite and manage users
-
Configure org-level settings (units, portfolios, services)
-
Upload data and manage scorecards
-
Set commercial terms and link contracts
🏢 Org Managers typically include Delivery Leads, Strategic Analysts, or BU Leaders.
3️⃣ User
This is the most common role. Users can:
-
Create, read, and update operational and strategic records
-
Contribute to governance cases
-
Upload and analyze KPI or capacity data
-
Use dashboards and AI assistants
🧑💼 Users are often Service Managers, Analysts, or Portfolio Owners involved in day-to-day service performance.
✉️ Role Assignment & Management
Roles are assigned by Org Managers:
-
During user invite
-
Via the User Management panel (Settings → Users)
🔄 Users cannot request role changes directly; contact your Org Manager for any access changes.
🔒 External Access
Currently, external collaborators (e.g., consultants or customers) do not have access to DigitalCore. This ensures strict data isolation and governance integrity within each tenant.
💡 Best Practices
-
Assign Org Manager to trusted strategic or delivery leads
-
Use User role for those contributing to operational and roadmap data
-
Limit Admin access to core implementation or internal system owners
